Columbia, SC, January 21, 2013 – Eddie Yandle, of Executive Construction is now one of the select group of professionals nationwide to earn the Certified Green Professional (CGP) educational designation, identifying him as an Owner/Homebuilder with the skills and the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into new home and remodeling projects.

Yandle, who has owned Executive Construction since 1989 says “Designing a home that offers value and distinction has been my goal for over 13 years. Executive Construction offers more features and useable space in the Columbia, SC area without compromising quality. My customer’s lifestyle and budget is always the main focus when we design our homes. By obtaining this designation I have learned how to offer my homebuyers even more value to their biggest lifetime investment.”

The CGP curriculum includes three days of training from leading building industry practitioners and academics on a range of topics, including strategies for integrating green building principles into homes using cost-effective methods of construction.

Coursework is based on the National Green Building Standard, the only ANSI-approved rating system for green homes, developments and remodeling projects. The standard includes sections on energy, water and resource efficiency; indoor environmental quality; lot and site development; and home owner education.

Administered by the National Association of Home Builders, the CGP program is sponsored locally by Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia.

“I look forward to helping home owners and home buyers in the Columbia, SC area create green, sustainable homes built to save resources as well as utility costs,” said Eddie Yandle.
